This year, the 6th class students went to Newgrange for a history field trip.They will also be going to Rathbeggan Lakes in June for a graduation trip.
Ms Campion's class was split among the three other classes.Ms O'Brien's class went on Monday,Ms Donavan's class went on Tuesday and Ms Kennedy's class
went on Wednesday.When the classes arrived at the visitor centre, they watched a short film about the history of Newgrange and the winter solstice.
After their snack break, they got on a 5 minute bus ride up to Newgrange itself.In groups of 8, they went into the actual chamber and experienced
what it would be like to be in the chamber on the 22nd of December, during the winter solstice.
After they went to the chamber, they went back on to the bus and into the visitor centre and had their lunch
After lunch they went around the visitor exhibition and filled in booklets about Newgrange
